No Affiliate Disclosure
Tracker Benchmark does not maintain affiliate accounts with any of the apps we review, and does not accept sponsorship, paid placement, or "sponsored badges" of any kind from app publishers.
What this means concretely
- No links on this site earn revenue from referred subscriptions.
- No app receives preferential ranking in exchange for compensation.
- No app publisher previews or pre-approves content.
- No "sponsored content," "advertorial," or paid review of any kind.
Why
Affiliate revenue creates a structural incentive to recommend the app with the highest payout, not the app that scores best on a public rubric. Even with disclosure, the incentive shapes coverage decisions over time. We'd rather operate on a model that's less profitable and more honest.
FTC compliance
This policy is informed by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255). If our funding model ever changes, the change will be announced here with a date and a dated change-log entry — and substantive disclosure will be added to every page going forward.
How we cover costs
For now, hosting and tooling are funded out-of-pocket by the editorial group. If we ever introduce a funding mechanism (reader donations, paid newsletter, grants), it will be disclosed with the same prominence as this page and the same date-stamped change log.
