Corrections Policy
We acknowledge factual corrections within 72 hours and aim to publish a fix within another 72 hours (6 days total). Substantive corrections carry a visible notice on the page and an entry in the public correction log.
How to report an error
Email editors@trackerbenchmark.com with the page URL, the claim you believe is wrong, and (if possible) the source that contradicts it. We will reply within 72 hours with one of: acknowledged + fix in progress; under investigation; declined + reason.
What counts as a substantive correction
- A score or ranking change.
- A factual claim that was wrong (price, feature availability, accuracy figure).
- A misattribution of a quote or source.
- An incorrect external citation (broken DOI, wrong study).
What does not require a correction notice
- Typo / grammar fixes.
- Cosmetic edits (heading rewording without changing meaning).
- Routine updates that reflect new test data — these get logged in the update log, with the old and new values recorded.
We do not silently edit substantive errors
If we changed a score, we say so. If we removed a claim, we say what was there before. If an app's score went down after re-testing, the change is logged.
